"When Love is Not Enough: The Lois Wilson Story," a television movie starring Winona Ryder and Barry Pepper, has begun shooting in Toronto, CBS said Thursday.

Based on the biography by William G. Borchert, the Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation is about the trials and ultimate triumph of the co-founder of Al-Anon, the network said in a news release.

Ryder's films include "Heathers," "The Age of Innocence," "Little Women," "Bram Stoker's Dracula," "Girl, Interrupted" and "Star Trek."

Pepper starred in the TV film "61*," as well as the movies "Seven Pounds" and "Flags of Our Fathers."

"Spanning more than 30 years, this movie is based on the true story of the enduring but troubled love between Lois Wilson, co-founder of Al-Anon, and her alcoholic husband, Bill Wilson, co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous," CBS said.
