Governor James Doyle Rejects Ninth Graders For Second Time

Good thing for Governor James Doyle of Wisconsin that he is not running for Governor again. He may not be too popular with ninth graders from D.C. Everest Senior High in Scoville Wisconsin and their growing list friends.

“Lacey’s Law” is a petition the 9th graders developed and are sending to respected legislators and Leaders in Wisconsin to change drunk driving penalties. So far the freshmen have not found the respected legislators or leaders to sign the pledge. I know it is too early to tell if anyone will sign but my bets are ON WISCONSIN ON WISCONSIN!!! (Insert Band Music here).

On a more serious note, a drunk driver killed the 9th graders friend and classmate Lacey Meinel. I included Lacey’s story in my release, “ Obama in Mad City” “Governor James Doyle holds onto his right to drink and drive.” By rejecting the freshman class again Doyle may have released a firestorm of protest.

One of the more interesting and best-informed calls I received from my last release was from Los Angeles Radio Show host Ken Sharp. Ken and Heidi Foglesong’s RIDIN DIRTY daily radio show airs weekdays from 11am to 12 noon on KLAA AM 830 in Los Angeles. I will be forwarding more information on this and the International Week of Sobriety and Serenity Ken was interested in backing. I am supportive of Lacey’s Law and the Pledge. I challenge President Obama to sign up with the understanding it does not include his nicotine addiction. Hopefully illegal drug abuse will remain in the Presidents past. Because of his experience we Rehab experts will expect more be done to curb the 1.5 million impaired drivers who get caught and most of the rest of the population that has not been caught – yet.
